- Breast augmentation
Breast augmentation is a surgery to increase the size or change the shape of your breasts.
- Mastopexy (Breast Lift)
A breast lift is a cosmetic surgery of the breast. The procedure involves tightening of the breast tissue and removal of excess skin and surrounding tissue to reshape and support the breast.
The skin from the abdominal wall is separated all the way up to the ribs, and the underlying abdominal muscles are tightened by pulling them close together and stitching them into their new position. This provides a firmer abdominal wall and narrows the waistline. The skin flap is stretched down and extra skin is removed.
Blepharoplasty is a procedure to remove excess skin and fat tissue from the eye area.
- Breast reconstruction
Breast reconstruction is plastic surgery to rebuild a breast. It is usually done after a mastectomy (removal of the breast) has been done to treat cancer. Reconstruction generally requires several stages. The first stage may be done at the time of mastectomy (immediate reconstruction) or at some point after the mastectomy (delayed reconstruction). Breast reconstruction can be done using an implant or tissue expander followed by placement of an implant. Breast reconstruction can also be done using a tissue flap taken from another part of the body.
