Interventional Radiology
Cartersville Medical Center provides interventional radiology services using fluoroscopy, CT, MRI and ultrasound to guide percutaneous procedures such as performing biopsies, draining fluids, inserting catheters, or dilating or stenting narrowed ducts or vessels. Often, by using interventional procedures, surgery can be avoided. Some of the more complex interventional radiology procedures are performed including peripheral vascular stenting, clot lysis, fibroid embolization, and transjugular portosystemic shunts.
